MANRAZE press release

FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK... MEET 'MANRAZE'!!!

"Breakout Alternative Rock Band Delivers New Twists From A Classic Recipe."

4 December 2009 (London, England)-Take one of the world's greatest lead guitarists, a supa- power of a rock drummer, and a soul stirring rhythmic bass player; mix in the experience of selling 65 million records, 2 diamond lps, breaking and defying musical barriers that changed the course of rock music history and its sound as we know it today; stir in a heap load of spicy bad ass North, East, and West London rudeboy attitude...And you've got MANRAZE-a hot new London based alternative/nuwave rock band formed by iconic lead guitarist Phil Collen of the multi-platinum selling rockband Def Leppard. The thrashing three piece also consists of punk forerunner Paul Cook from the revolutionary Sex Pistols, and rhythm rocker Simon Laffy, bass player from Collen's former glamband, Girl.

There's a lot of relevant history in this band but don't let the timeline fool you. They are NOT classic rock! MANRAZE is definitely representing 'the NOW' of music. Their hardcore punk to dub tinged 12 track debut lp 'SURREAL' (Universal Records) is chock full of rebellious in-your-face mantras. Quoted as a cross between theFoo Fighters, Green Day, Nirvana, Rage Against The Machine, The Police, and ‘something new’ Phil Collen formed MANRAZE as a response to the ever changing climate of rock music. "After all I'd done I still wanted to hear something that I wasn't getting anywhere else. The hybrid invention of this missing music was inevitable in my eyes." And invent they did. The eclectic set of raving tunes rooted by the infectious driving rhythm section of Paul Cook's famous union jack drum kit and Simon Laffy's steady bass licks include the hit single 'Turn It Up'. The video is in heavy rotation on KerrangTV, can be viewed on their website at www.manraze.com, or found at youtube.com/manrazeofficial.

MANRAZE is currently the featured support act for Alice Cooper's Theatre of Death ('09 UK Tour). While on tour they are actively writing songs for their second lp, playing local radio station events to ignite the masses, granting interviews, prepping for live podcasts, and 'enjoying' rumors that they will be opening for Bon Jovi in 2010 although touring with Linkin Park is more their speed.
